Who Should Attend:  C-level executives, senior and middle management, and project executives responsible for managing firms working in Canada and/or pursuing or managing construction projects in Canada.

Topic:  Bill & Mark will discuss the challenges of an economic boom and labor shortage in Canada.  Specific attention will be paid to the issues of attracting, retaining, and training field, project management, and project controls staff throughout Canada.  A focus on the impact the Alberta oil sands boom in the province of Alberta is having on the rest of Canada.  Solutions and recommendations, along with a case study demonstrating practical actions that can be taken, will round out the discussion.  We encourage several members of your organization to participate in the webcast so they are able to react to the discussion based upon their experience.

About Bill Meloche:  Bill's background in bringing together owners, contractors and engineers to resolve cross-organizational challenges is unique.  As a Canadian citizen, entrepreneur and business consultant, his experience is lifelong.  He has been published in many publications including PE magazine, for the society of professional engineers, "Construction Industry Innovation: An Oxymoron?" This article focused on the need for more productive and profitable contractor and owner relationships through "integrated practice". In addition, Bill's work and research has been featured in ENR, "Extended Enterprise Service Helps Write Project Success Stories", to introduce what he refers to as "Extended Enterprise" relationships.   These collaborations require seamless integration of collective brainpower around common goals and objectives.

About Mark Bridgers:  Mark's background includes extensive work in Canada to support labor intensive contractors in the development and implementation of successful business strategies.   Some specific examples include helping a large underground utility contractor successfully pursue staff, and begin the execution of a $500 million work program over multiple years.
